What Is Nissan ProPILOT Assist 2.1?
You have heard of ProPILOT Assist. It is an integrated way to ensure your safety on the highway. Now that it is available across the Nissan lineup, this great driver assistance feature has been enhanced for a new generation of vehicles. With the available ProPILOT Assist 2.1, you can enjoy hands-off freeway driving for miles on end.Â
To explain, the original ProPILOT Assist is a hands-on driver assist system that combines Nissan’s Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies. It includes a stop and hold function that can bring the vehicle to a full stop, hold in place, and then bring you back up to speed when traffic starts moving again.Â
At its core, ProPILOT Assist uses Navi-link to sync with the navigation system, providing additional information to better predict the freeway ahead. New features include Speed Adjust by Route that can help reduce your speed for tight curves and off-ramps, as well as Speed Limit Assist that gives drivers the option to quickly adjust the set speed to the posted speed limit. Both features allow for a more intuitive, enjoyable, and stress-free drive.Â
With ProPILOT Assist 2.1, you can take your hands off the wheel and your feet off the pedals, although you still need to pay attention to the road and be prepared to take control of the vehicle.  ProPILOT Assist 2.1’s assistance with steering, acceleration, and braking on compatible roads makes all of this possible. Â
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is engineered to help you navigate detected lane changes while both hands are on the wheel. Push a button, and advanced mapping and traffic data can help you overtake the vehicle. If there is a vehicle moving slower than the current rate of traffic in the passing lane, you can utilize this feature to make a safe lane change and retain your pace. Of course, we recommend you obey local speed limit laws when traveling with ProPILOT Assist 2.1 enabled. Â
Following your pre-set destination, ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is designed to let you know when your exit is coming up and when it’s clear to move over. Highway mapping and 360-degree traffic monitoring help contribute to smooth and precise driving, things we always crave from our vehicle experience. Â
With ProPILOT Assist 2.1, enjoy Google built-in while on the road. Log into your Google Account and Google Maps will provide personalized suggestions and help guide you on your drive with real-time traffic information to find the best route to your next destination. With Google Assistant, you can get directions if you are lost, in concert with Google Maps. Â
Based on a map from Nissan, you can utilize ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on major interstate highways across South Carolina and surrounding states. ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is currently available on the 2025 Rogue. It will become an available feature on the 2025 Armada. Â
