What are the differences between the 2024 and 2025 Nissan Armada?

You could say that the 2025 Armada is an evolution of the 2024 model. The exterior dimensions are practically the same, albeit 2025’s wider stance. You will find some notable differences in the 2025 model, however, including a new lightning signature both front and back, sharper lines, and bolder grilles.

The transition between the two model years comes down to engine choice. Compared to the outgoing V-8, the 2025 Armada will be powered by a twin-turbo, direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The new engine serves up an increase in performance with 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque; This engine will take you places with authority. Power from this engine is channeled through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of capability, both the 2024 and 2025 Armada share the same maximum tow rating of up to 8,500 pounds. PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve grades also add both an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller and standard Trailer Blind Spot Monitoring.

There is now more space inside the 2025 Armada, with 24 percent more cargo space behind the third row of seats—20.4 cubic-feet, to be exact—than the 2024 model. With the second- and third-row seats down, that space increases to a total of 97.1 cubic-feet of cargo space. Third-row room has been increased, as well.

When it comes to creature comforts, the 2025 Armada will go beyond the 2024 model’s feature list. The new Armada will offer available massaging front seats, along with available 64-color ambient lighting. A new digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen will measure out to 12.3 inches each. When you get into the PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve grades, those screens are increased to 14.3 inches each. The infotainment system is now driven by Google built-in, which enables Google’s apps to be used without using your smartphone to connect to them. That also includes Google Maps for navigation and Google Assistant for search functions. To top it all off, you can equip your 2025 Armada with the class-exclusive available 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System. All of which are new to the Armada lineup.

Safety and driver assistance take center stage in the 2025 Armada. Available on this new model is ProPILOT Assist 2.1, the company’s most advanced hands-off assistance technology for freeway driving. In addition, Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on all 2025 Armada models.

On the 2025 Armada, you now get advanced camera technologies to help you see virtually around walls and even through objects. The list of available camera technologies includes 3D Around View Monitor, Front Wide View, and Invisible Hood View. The latter view is extremely helpful for placing the vehicle’s wheels when off-roading, entering car wash tracks, or just navigating a tight drive-through lane.

If there was one thing that separates the 2024 Armada from the 2025 model, it is the new PRO-4X model. The PRO-4X will feature all-terrain tires, an increased approach angle of 33.0 degrees, underbody skid plates, an electronic locking differential, and Adaptive Air Suspension. With a ground clearance of 9.6 inches, the 2025 Armada PRO-4X is set to conquer the rougher roads and trails of our great state.
