Nissan Rogue Wins Newsweek Award for Top Vehicle for New Parents
Finding the right vehicle when you are a new parent can be a challenging task. Safety ratings, car seat rankings, how this car seat fits in that car, and so on and so forth. Then you have to test drive all these cars and try to remember your buying checklist. Who has the time? It becomes a job in and of itself. This is why it’s so beneficial when companies like Newsweek review new cars to give prospective buyers a proper understanding of what’s great about various vehicles, such as the 2024 Nissan Rogue. Â
2024 Newsweek Autos AwardsÂ
For the 2024 Newsweek Autos Awards, the 2024 Rogue was awarded the Top Pick in the New Parents class. Vehicles were placed in 13 different categories and scored according to current car buying habits, including Goal Getters, Empty Nesters, Suburbanites, Tomorrow Seekers, Urbanites, Outdoor Adventurers, First-Time New Car Buyers, Luxury Lifestyles, and more. Â
A Word from NissanÂ
“We are honored that the editors of Newsweek recognized the convenient, family-friendly features of the Nissan Rogue with this ‘Top Pick’ award,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, Senior Vice President and Chief Planning Officer, Nissan Americas. “The customer is at the heart of all we do, and this latest award for Rogue is a superb endorsement of Nissan’s commitment to excellence in meeting the mobility needs of our customers and their families.”Â
Trim Levels, Engine, and Fuel Economy, Oh MyÂ
The Nissan Rogue was given a fresh new design for the 2024 model year and is available in four different trim levels, including the S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Powering the Rogue has an innovative 1.5-liter VC-Turbo 3-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. With a combination of the sleek design and the unique motor, the EPA says that the Rogue can achieve 30 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. Since the Nissan crossover has a 14.5-gallon fuel tank, that means it can get more than 530 pure highway miles. Â
The Right Vehicle for FamiliesÂ
For families looking to get into a comfortable and stylish crossover, the Rogue has exactly what you will need, such as 36.5 cu.ft. of rear cargo space behind the second-row seats and 74.1 cu.ft. when the rear seats are folded. More so, all trim levels get Nissan Safety Shield 360 as standard, which comes with Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Rear Automatic Braking, and Rear Door Alert. The Rogue SV trim level further adds ProPILOT Assist, which uses Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist to let drivers relax while driving on the highway by keeping the vehicle centered in the lane. Â
