Nissan Goes NISMO With The 2026 Armada

NISMO has been the performance and racing brand for Nissan for over 40 years. It stands for Nissan Motorsports International. When you see those letters, you expect high performance and exceptional handling on the road and track. What if there was a NISMO SUV? Your wish has come true in the 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO. It delivers everything you expect from a performance Nissan, with space for up to seven people and the sporty looks worthy of that name.  

Before we get into the 2026 Armada NISMO’s sporty looks, we have to open the hood. The 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine has been massaged to put down 460 horsepower—a 35-horsepower bump from the rest of the Armada lineup. To let the world know that you have more performance underneath the hood, it comes with a louder, less restrictive exhaust. 

NISMO also added more driving dynamics to the 2026 Armada. You will feel it in the retuned electric power steering system and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension. The result is a more dynamic experience that engages the driver. Rounding out the package are red-painted brake calipers and a set of NISMO forged wheels mounted on high-performance tires.  

The driving experience is enhanced with a sporty appearance that fits the 2026 Armada excellently. NISMO adds a new front and rear fascia, side steps, and a rear spoiler. The front fascia incorporates a splitter directing airflow across the body. The rear fascia also includes a diffuser providing a performance car look. These body extensions add red trim to define them, completing the NISMO appearance package.  

Stepping inside, front seat occupants are treated to sport-style seats. The quilted leather upholstered seats feature adjustable bolsters for lateral support. The same quilted leather upholstery is found on the second- and third-row seats. There are aluminum pedals for the driver and red accents all around the cabin.  

Arriving this fall, the 2026 Armada NISMO will join the SV, SL, Platinum, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve, making it part of the widest variety of SUVs in its size class ever. It will be the only such performance SUV of its size and price class. The 2026 Armada NISMO will continue to offer the great combination of superb comfort, premium touches, confident road manners, proven off-road capability, and excellent driver assistance technologies all in one family-friendly package.
