Introducing The 2025 Nissan Murano
When it first arrived in 2002, it defied definition and categorization—all because it was different. Yet many customers came for the Nissan Murano because they wanted to be different. They loved the combination of bold design, luxury, practicality, and performance.
A new 2025 Murano is coming.
For over two decades, this new Murano has been forward-looking, bringing it in line with the times. This time around, the future is a huge part of this mid-size luxury SUV, with technology and driver assistance features that match its design.
The exterior fuses the Murano’s angular and organic design with Nissan’s latest design elements. New ultra-thin “crystal cube” LED lighting up front melds into the grille. A new horizontal LED taillight treatment adorns the rear. The profile may seem familiar, but a close examination reveals a new twist in the side profile, providing more glass area than any Murano before.
Keeping the rear glass clean, the rear wiper is located on top of the glass, instead of on the lower part of it. A unique dashboard finisher called Murano Glass incorporates color-shift graphics and textures that play with light. Inspired by and named for the famed Venetian glassworks that gave the crossover its name, this multi-leveled feature exemplifies the vehicle’s attention to craftsmanship and high-quality details.
The interior has been reimagined with a new combined panel of two 12.3-inch screens—one for the instrument meter and the other for the infotainment touchscreen. Capacitive touch controls and tactile switches will be available for climate and audio functions.
Front and rear-row Zero-Gravity seats combine comfort with support for longer journeys. Platinum models will be upholstered in quilted semi-aniline leather. Space is increased over the previous model, including the cargo area. With the 60/40 split rear seatbacks up, there is 32.9 cubic feet of space to fill. Fold down the rear seatbacks, and you have 63.5 cubic feet of volume available.
Safety and driver assistance has never been elevated in a vehicle of its size class. Standard on the SV, ProPILOT Assist combines Intelligent Cruise Control with Steering Assist for a better highway experience. On SL and Platinum grades, the upgraded ProPILOT Assist 1.1 adds navigation data to proactively adjust the speed of the vehicle, including curves.
Adding Invisible Hood View helps you see precisely what is in front of you. It sees through the hood of the Murano to detect any objects below the windshield view – even underneath the vehicle – that could cause a hazard. In addition, Nissan’s 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor will make its first appearance in the Murano.
Something you never expected in a Murano is a new powertrain. This includes the Variable-Combustion 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. There is now 20 pound-feet more torque available on the Murano compared to the outgoing model. SV models are available in both front- and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, while AWD is standard on SL and Platinum grades.
