All-new 2025 Nissan Kicks Named to Autotrader’s Best New Cars of 2025 List
The 2025 Nissan Kicks is a game-changing small SUV. Its design is fresh, with elements that make it attractive and purposeful. The interior is spacious and practical. Plus, it offers more performance, with available all-wheel drive and the added layer of driver-assistance technologies that are new to the segment.
All of this was confirmed by Autotrader. They just named the Kicks to their Best New Cars of 2025 list.

This year’s list features 10 new or refreshed vehicles that broke new ground and offered excellent value. Autotrader praised the 2025 Kicks for all of the great new innovations and segment-breaking design, among other attributes.
Eric Brandt, an editor at Autotrader, said that “[t]he Nissan Kicks is quietly one of the best bargains in small SUVs. The new generation has a bigger interior, available all-wheel drive, and fun options like headrest speakers, and it still starts at under $25,000.”
Design is the first thing you see on the 2025 Kicks. The bold, fresh, and expressive styling was inspired by athletic pursuits—from the grille taking on the black under-eye wear of football players to the sneaker-inspired details along the side of the body. It would also inspire other Nissan models that debuted after its arrival, such as the 2025 Murano.

The cabin is larger. The front-drive models have more cargo space, measuring 30.0 cubic feet behind the rear seats. Every Zero-Gravity seat is developed to provide both comfort and engagement over every mile. An available panoramic roof gives a new perspective above the cabin.
The 2025 Kicks was also built with safety in mind. That starts with the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of driver assistance and safety technologies giving occupants peace of mind and protection from harm on the road. Intelligent Cruise Control adds more assurance while keeping pace with traffic.

Engagement also comes with an improved driver atmosphere. You also get dual 12.3-inch displays, including the NissanConnect display with multi-touch control, wireless Apple CarPlay integration, Android Auto compatibility, and an available Bose audio system.
AWD is available in three trim levels, along with a more powerful 141-horsepower 2.0-liter engine and an improved continuously variable transmission.
Put them all together, and you have an affordable compact SUV/crossover that is right for today’s drivers.
